We created A Journey of Giraffes to share Botswana in a real, honest and personal way. Through its people, wildlife, places and the small moments that stay with you.
Our stories come from first hand experience, local knowledge and a connection to home.
OUR STORY
THE JOURNEY STARTED LONG BEFORE THE COMPANY.
A Journey of Giraffes was founded by Kgosi Jimmy Sethoko, a Motswana safari professional from Maun. His connection to Botswana did not begin with tourism. It grew through generations of family rooted here and childhood time spent in the bush.
That lifelong connection later became a career in tourism. A Journey of Giraffes grew from the same love for home and a desire to share Botswana in a way that feels real and personal.
OUR EXPERIENCE

The bush was part of life long before it became work. Years spent working inside safari camps brought a deeper understanding of Botswana, its people and the everyday details of life in the bush.
The seasons, wildlife, landscapes and people all shape that experience. There is always something new to learn.
That combination of family roots and practical experience shapes the stories and knowledge we share here.

We want to encourage a deeper understanding of the country and the role tourism can play in supporting people and wildlife.
