A Journey of Giraffes starts in Maun. Our family connection to Botswana runs through generations, long before tourism or this company.
The Delta was part of growing up, not a destination on a map. It was family trips, time in the bush, campfires and some of our earliest memories.
That is where the story began.
WHERE IT BEGAN
THE JOURNEY STARTED LONG BEFORE THE COMPANY.
A Journey of Giraffes was founded by Kgosi Jimmy Sethoko, a Motswana safari professional from Maun.
His love for the bush began with his parents, who took him to safari camps and on family trips from a young age. Years later, that childhood connection became a career in Botswana’s safari industry.
The name A Journey of Giraffes grew from the same place. It is a story about home, family and a connection to Botswana that has always been there.
